Like Germany and Finland, Norwegian universities are operating tuition free for both domestic and international students. That said, no international student at both state universities and university colleges would be asked to pay tuition fees in Norway. Also this free tuition policy is the same for all academic levels, including undergraduate studies, Masters Programs and Ph.D. programs. However, international students might be required to pay a semester fee of NOK 300-600 (35.78 Euro – 71.56 Euro) each semester. However note that you won’t be allowed to sit for your university’s exam, if this stated amount of money is not paid in full. Also this fee will grant international students membership in both local student welfare organization, which in turn entitles them to several other student benefits. These benefits may include on campus health services, counseling, access to sports facilities and cultural activities.
