    How to Apply

    In order to apply to any institution in Estonia, you have to prove that you have  completed the previous stage of study (secondary education if you are interested in an undergraduate program, or a bachelor’s degree if you apply for a master’s program). Suppose you are an international student applying to study an English-taught course, you’ll have to show proof of proficiency in the English. Please note that all internationally recognized language tests are accepted across institutions in Estonia, but some Estonian universities may require you to sit a language test of their own.     Visas to Study in Estonia

    Students who come from the European Union do not require a student visa to study in Estonia. However, you will need to obtain a temporary right of residence in Estonia after arriving in the country. EU students are required to register with the local authorities within three months from the first day of entry into Estonia. That said, students must apply for an Estonian ID card within one month of obtaining the temporary right of residence.

    Please note that international students who come from non-EU countries are expected to apply for a temporary residence permit for studying (TRP); this permit will serve as the equivalent to a student visa. For you  to obtain this document, do well to contact the nearest Estonian Embassy and examine the specific requirements for your country of origin. The TRP has to be renewed annually, at least two months before the expiration date.
