Have you been dreaming of studying abroad, but you don’t have the finances to achieve it? Well, money should not stop you from studying abroad. You can apply to study in low tuition or free tuition universities. In some countries in Europe, education is funded by the government and so students are exempted from paying tuition fees. As a student you only need to budget for your living expenses. In today’s article, I shall be providing you with a comprehensive list of free tuition universities in Germany and Norway, but before I do that, will want us to look at the cost of living in these two countries for students.
Cost of living in Germany for students
In Germany, the cost of living is affordable. Students are expected to have about 500 to 600 Euro for their monthly expenses. This amount will cover the cost of accommodation, food, transportation, buying of books, recreation etc. Before the student travels, the embassy wants to see this amount in form of a blocked account. That means that students must provide 8000 Euro which is the estimated cost of living for a year, and deposit it their student account before travelling to Germany.
Cost of living in Norway for students
Cost of living in Norway is high compared to what you get in Germany. In Norway a student needs to budget about 1000 Euro for living expenses which will cover the cost of feeding, accommodation, buying of books, transportation, recreation etc. As is the case with Germany, the embassy will want to see proof that student has this money before issuing visa to the students.
