Tuition, Fees, Application Deadlines and Low Tuition Universities in Germany, Norway and France

    Some time ago, a German federal constitutional court approved a charged registration and tuition fees for students at universities and colleges in Germany  . However, there are a couple of federal states  where universities dont charge tuition fees, and even if they do,there are low tuition. In all cases though, tuition fees at German universities are usually 500€ per semester while registration fees are about 50€ every  semester.

    APPLICATION DEADLINES
    January Deadline: Application should be in before 15 January for summer studies:
    March to August Deadlines: for Universities of Applied Sciences
    July Deadlines:  Your application should be in before 15 July for Winter studies.

    Norway

    International Students would be delighted to know that they are exempted from paying tuition fees at public universities . However, they would be required to pay a compulsory fee of around EUR 50 per semester to their student union.The student union association offers many advantages such as free access to  discounts in meals or  transportation system, as well as access to student counselling or assistance in finding accommodation.

    DEADLINES

    For most of the programs in Norway, you’ll only have to adhere to one admission deadline: March Ist.
    Submit your application before 1st March for fall class (September). However, If you are a Nordic student, you can submit your application before 15th April.

    France

    TUITION
    Bachelor’s programs: EUR 188.10 per year. Engineering degrees pay a tuition fee of EUR 611.10 per academic year, while medicine studies have different tuition fees  based on the program. For example, the tuition fees for doctor of medicine could amount to EUR 452 per year.
    Master’s programs: EUR 259.10 per year
    PhD degrees : EUR 393.10 per year

    APPLICATION DEADLINE
    If you are interested instudying in France, you should begin the application process  in January.
