Top 10 Cheapest out of State Tuition Universities

There is no doubt that college tuition is going up and student loan debts are rising exponentially, little wonder more students and families are weighing up the options of public schools simply because of the cheaper tuition fees.

At a number of public four-year universities, average costs for the current school year, plus room and board, stayed at $21,370, according to data from the College Board, on the other hand tuition plus room and board at four-year private universities was twice that: $48,510 on average.

Interestingly, some public institutions are relatively cheaper than others, especially if you are applying out of state. Recently, Personal finance site GOBankingRates, ranked 100 public institutions by out-of-state tuition costs, based on data obtained from schools and U.S. News & World Report.

Additionally, the universities at the top of the list are relatively cheaper, and also enjoy a high acceptance rate, making it easier for high school seniors to apply and get in.
