Cost of living in Canada as a student is dependent on the type of accommodation you intend to stay. This is because the cost of living can actually be high or low depending on the nature of accommodation and whether it is shared with roommates or not. Admission Requirement

In order to be admitted as an undergraduate Student in Canada, the Student must have a Senior or Higher Secondary school Leaving Certificate which qualifies a student for University Study abroad, this also qualifies international students for studies in Canadian Universities and for post graduate program like Masters a valid Bachelor certificate or its equivalent is always required while for Ph.D. programs, a valid Masters certificate will also be required.

Language requirement

English Speaking Countries

The English language is the main language of communication in Canada and for this reason, it is the primary language of instruction in Canadian Universities. Therefore, students seeking admission in Canada are required to demonstrate a high proficiency in the use of English Language.

Other Countries

International Students who are not from English Speaking Countries are also expected to demonstrate their English proficiency by taking approved English based exams. It is advised you contact your University for the kind of approved English-based exam that is required.

The process to apply for admission varies from one University to the other and also the nature of the study program.

Application deadline

The deadline for intake of international students into any program is normally fixed by the department of course of study. The following is recommended:

January – March: this is the time or period when the adverts are normally announced or made, so online application can be submitted with the supplementary documents such as the reference letter, transcripts etc.

April – August: admission letters are issued to successful applicants. The deadline to accept the admission and complete the online registration will be indicated.

July – September: commencement of online course registration.

Early September: Commencement of Orientation program

Mid of September: Commencement of Lectures.
