    Health care

    Typically, all EU citizens have free access to basic healthcare services provided by public hospitals in Greece with the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

    Students who come from a number of  non-EU countries could also benefit from free medical care via reciprocal agreements with Greece. If this is not the case with you, you will have  to arrange private health insurance before traveling to Greece. However, hospitals that accept international insurance are mostly in Athens or Thessaloniki.

    Food costs

    Purchasing from local supermarkets would incur food bills of roughly 200 EUR/month. A meal in a cheap restaurant will cost 10 EUR, but you can equally find affordable street food with about 5 EUR.

    At a number of university canteens, you are able to have 3 free meals per day with a student card that costs only 20 EUR per the whole semester.

    • your passport or national identity card;

    • copies of past diplomas or certificates, including your graduated Bachelor’s degree;
    • academic transcripts;
    • letter of intent;

    • Some form of proof that you can support your stay in the country during your studies.

    Depending on the subject or specialization of your chosen Master’s, you might also be asked to provide scores for additional tests like the GRE, GMAT or LSAT. Check if your programme requires any of these, or others.
