List of Free Tuition Universities in Germany

    ger 1In this post, I have compiled a comprehensive list of over 25 universities in Germany that are operating free or cheap tuition for international students interested in studying free in the republic of Germany. However, note that education in Germany is not completely free as international students will have to set aside funds for their living expenses of about 600 euro. This amount should cover the following cost: accommodation, food, travels, books, health care, registration fees etc. That said, in an academic year the estimated/standard cost of living is put at 8000 euro. Be aware that to obtain a German student visa, you will be required to show sufficient proof that you/your guardian can afford to take care of yourself while studying in the country. This can be done in two ways viz;

    1. Open a German blocked account to the tune of 8000 euro
    2. Present a sponsor’s letter obtained from friend or relative in Germany who’s willing to take care of your living expenses in Germany.

    Kindly visit a German embassy in your home country to get more information on how to obtain a visa.
