Detailed Guide on how to Study In Ukraine

    Generally,the requirements to study on low tuition in Ukraine is divided into five categories shown below:

    1. Admission Requirements
    2. Visa Requirements

    5. University Registration Requirements

    1. Admission Requirements:

    This refers specifically to the documents required to qualify for university admission / invitation letter. They are as follows:

    • A completed online application form or download pdf.
    • A copy of your international passport
    • A legalized copy of secondary school completion certificate (or subject scores)
    • A fees confirmation copy (bank copy preferably) – After approbation of acceptance.

    Supplementary Requirements for Postgraduate students (may include):

    • A copy of your portfolio work
    • A copy of the bachelor’s / master’s degree certificates
    • Copies of results and transcripts

    Note that all documents must be notarized/legalized and translated into Ukrainian or Russian language.

    2. Visa Requirements:

    Note that some countries do not require a visa to study in Ukraine. These countries include: UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Also, all Countries that were in the former Soviet Union are visa free to Ukraine. The only countries excluded from these are: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. However, please do well to check with the Ukrainian consulate in your country to confirm what’s required.

    Once you’ve confirmed that you need a visa, then the following documents will be required:

    • A valid international passport
    • Original admission / invitation letter
    • A confirmation letter to the Ukrainian consulate in your country from the university
    • A copy of the contract (optional)
    • Medical health insurance
    • HIV certificate
    • Two-way air ticket

    Once everything is in place, the embassy will issue you a study visa. The study visa will last for one 1 year, so do well to use it while it is valid. Now, get ready to travel.

    3. Travel Requirements:

    • Passport (check our visa section).
    • You’ll need a two way ticket.
    • Entry Student’s Visa.
    • Migration card (it has to be filled in by you in the airport once u arrive at an Airport in Ukraine).
    • You’ll need to submit an original Invitation Letter.
    • All original school and Medicine certificates duly translated and legalized from your home country, and Ukrainian embassy.

    4. Travel To Ukraine

    The university’s rep will meet you in the airport, with a placard written on it, you should contact the university rep in the airport to complete all arrangements and move to the university, and the university hostel.

    5. University Registration Requirements:

    Once you are at this stage, the uni agent will put you through the university registration process. You will require all the originals of all the documents you used for proceeding your uni admission. Afterwards, you will go for medical test. Then you will be given a one year student residential permit, the necessary university and hostel identity cards, academic materials and you are ready to begin your first educational experience of studying in cheap tuition in Ukraine.
