The 2015 American University Emerging Global leader scholarship applications are now open for 205/2016 academic year.This program encourages educational opportunities and advantages to beneficiaries. The scholarship covers tuition,room,board, for international students who require a visa to study in the US.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT
The AU EGL scholarship covers tuition,room and board for one international student. This scholarship does not cover health insurance,books, flights and airlines. This scholarship is renewable for a total of 4 years undergraduate studies.
ELIGIBILITY
*Must be secondary school students
*Currently enrolled in or have begun studies in a university
*Candidates should apply regular decision for fall 2015.
*US citizens or candidates of dual nationalities of US and another country are ineligible.
*Preference will be given to candidates who have succeeded in the face of severe difficulty

TO STAND A CHANCE OF GETTING THE SCHOLARSHIP,
the most competitive candidate should have:
*a minimum 3.8 GPA( or in the top 10% of his graduating class) for 9th to 12th graders.
*A demonstrated commintment to leadership, community service.
*Excellent oral and written skills in english with a minimum 95 TOEFL iBT, 7.0 IELTS,or 600 paper bsed TOEFL
