We are proud to announce that the long awaited 2016 American DV lottery result is out!!! If you had applied for the 2016 round of the American DV lottery, you can now check your result/entrant status online. Please note that checking one’s result doesn’t have to be difficult at all. You only need to provide your date of birth, confirmation number, last/family name and you will be able to access your status very comfortably. Find below the list of countries that are eligible for the DV lottery program and the ones that were excluded from the program.
List of Eligible Countries
The following country can still participate in the program:
Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia and Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles and Sierra Leone.
List of Excluded Countries
The following countries have been excluded from participating in the program;
Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam
How to check your result/status online
Here’s how to check your status online.
- Visit http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ESC/ starting at noon (EDT) on May 5, 2015
- Provide your Confirmation Number, Last/Family Name, and Year of Birth where it’s required.
- DV-2016 Entrants should keep their confirmation number until at least June 30, 2016.
