Study in Italy

Italy has a lot more than academic gains to offer, for instance Rome is considered Christianity’s spiritual city as it is the home of the Christian pope.

    Enrolling to study in Italy opens an individual opportunity for students to explore the diversity of the country which has a rich history, culture, fashion and art. The people are very warm and friendly and you will find a lot of activities to take part in as well as experience the tourist attractions of the country.

    Italian Universities are globally recognized as top destination universities for offering quality courses in fields such as humanities, political and international studies, hotel management and catering, social sciences amongst others.

    COST OF STUDY

    Tertiary institutions other than universities determine their tuition fees but for universities there is a fixed minimum legal fee which shouldn’t be more than 20% of total government funding.

    Moreover, the university or subject course determines the tuition fees. But generally, students pay between 850-1000 Euros per academic year.

    Private institutions and specialized courses are usually more expensive but also dependant on the course and university chosen.

    APPLICATION PROCESS

    Generally, application procedures depend on whether you are an EU or non EU student

    Undergraduate studies

    If you applying for an undergraduate program in an Italian university and you are not an EU student, ensure you do the following:

    *Search for your top university course that is offered in Italy

    *Contact your chosen university and find out if you are eligible and submit the necessary documents

    *Once you have been informed by your chosen university that you are eligible to apply, go ahead and submit a pre-application form with relevant academic and birth forms to the Italian embassy in your country

    * Note that your School leaving certificate and other transcripts should be translated in Italian

    *Two passport photographs with one dully signed by you

    *Once you have submitted these documents , wait till the end of August when admitted candidates’ names will be made public.

    Graduate studies

    All interested international students seeking graduate admission into a graduate program should follow the steps listed above if you are a non EU student but must submit a valid university certificate for higher studies and fill the relevant form to receive a Letter of Academic Eligibility and suitability.
