    Higher education in Ukraine under management of the Ministry of Education which coordinates  and supervises activities of tertiary schools including the ones which are under other ministries.

    Per the “Law on Education”, higher education covers the following levels and establishment categories: level I – vocational and other HEIs of a corresponding level, level II – colleges and other HEIs of a corresponding level which offers Bachelor and junior specialist courses, level III – institutes, academies, conservatories, and universities that teach Bachelor’s and Specialist, and also junior specialist courses, and then level IV – institutes, academies, conservatories, and universities which offers Bachelor and masters or specialist courses.

    The degree system is currently undergoing reform: The old system only offered one stage of undergraduate studies, the degree of “Specialist” which is awarded after 5 years of study. The new system is made of two stages: undergraduate and graduate, with many degree levels.

    Tuition fees differs depending on the university of your choice. You can even find management, engineering and law courses in English starting from 1750$ only, with other world class schools charging fees of up to to 2700$.

    It cost less if your courses are offered in Russian than in English. For Russian medium of instruction, the tuition fees starts from 1500$ in different specialties.

    In Ukraine, the tuition fees for medicine is higher than the technical universities, the tuition fees for English medium courses in Ukrainian medical universities for mbbs(md) is at least 3500$ and maximum is about 4200$ .

    The state operated universities cost less fees than national medical universities. Like in Lugansk state medical university where the fees is 3700$ but in Kharkov national medical university the fees is 4500$ per year for English medium of mbbs(md) 6 years.

    Tuition fees for Russian medium medical courses is  about 3000$ or less then this figure.Tuition fees for dental courses, BDS is within the range of $3500-$4500 depending on the university of your choice. Pharmacy and veterinary courses are mostly cheaper than main medical courses.

    2.Invitation Letter and visa confirmation letter cost about 350 USD. The Invitation letter is issued by ministry of education and science of Ukraine and is given by the university on the basis of verifying the students qualifying documents, the visa confirmation letter is sent to guaranteed visa along with the invitation letter for all admitted international students.

    3.Medical and health insurance is about 80USD

    4.Dormitory or Hostel fees for 1 year ranges from 600 to 1200 USD. Hostel cost differ from sharing of rooms with other students. A double sharing room also cost around $800 per year.

    5.In Ukraine, registration to immigration,temporary residence permit and admission fees for students in Ukraine is 250$

    6.Intermediate company charges and consultancy fees is 250$USD

    Cost of Living while studying in Ukraine.

    Ukraine is a very affordable country in terms of food, accommodation and everyday expenses, however we can provide you with the approximate expenditure estimates. Overall, in order to live comfortably while studying in Ukraine, the student should  have about $USD 1200 to US$ 1800 per year for the purpose of living expenses, above the cost of your tuition.

    Living cost is also differ from city to city, for instance, in the capital city of kiev living expenses are higher than in other cities. Flats and apartments in big cities like kiev, Donetsk, kharkiv and odessa are slightly expensive than in cities like lugansk, poltava, zaporozhye and ternopol.

    Food products like vegetables, milk, meat and bread cost just a few bucks in Ukraine compare to any other European countries. For instance, with 1.5US$ the student can buy 4 Kg of potatoes or 2 litre of milk or 4 kg of onions etc.

    Dairy products are very cheap too . In terms of clothing, it won’t bother your pocket much, because a good Jeans costs 20$, Shirts cost between 10-20$, and T-Shirts cost 10-20US$. The books are provided by your University Library and any additional stationery can be purchased in side university campus at a small cost.

    The students’ Travel card on Government Transport (Metro, Trolleybus, Trams, Buses or Trains) is issued by your University & costs just 5US$ per month.You will receive or become eligible for the The International student Card once your admission status has been confirmed by your University.

    Foreign students with International Student card are granted concession of 30% from the normal price of Air Tickets. Also, they get to enjoy a concession of 40% from the normal price of Ticket in Buses, Trains etc

    The bus and rail transport system of Ukraine is highly developed and on similar level with other European countries. Cost of travelling by train up to a distance of 500 km cost about 12$ and the cost of flying for the same distance is about $60.

    You can rent a private taxi cheaply in Ukraine. It cost about $3USD to $4 per 5 to 8 km. Buses, Trolley Bus, Metro and Trams are also very affordable and cost around 40 cents in dollars at most from any part of the city to another.
