2016 Commonwealth Scholarships for Students From Developing Commonwealth Countries

    The 2016 Commonwealth Scholarships for international students of developing commonwealth countries is a study abroad free scholarship. And it is now open for application. This free scholarship is awarded to international students who are interested in pursuing masters or PhD degrees in the UK. This full scholarship will cover 100% expenses such as full tuition fees, living expenses, airfare from applicant’s home country etc.

    About scholarship

    The commonwealth scholarship is sponsored by the UK Department for International Developments (DFID), with the sole aim of contributing to the United Kingdom’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.

    Eligibility

    • Applicants are expected to be a Commonwealth citizen, refugee, or British protected person.
    • Must be a permanent resident in a developing country.
    • Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2016.
    • Must hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honors standard, or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree) by October 2016.

    How to apply

    All applications must pass through the nominating bodies in your home country. CSC does not accept direct application for this scholarship. Also endeavor to submit an application using the CSC Electronic Application Systems (EAS). The CSC will not accept any applications that are not submitted via the EAS to a nominating body in your home country.
