    EARTH University, Costa Rica is enjoying a seven-year partnership with the MasterCard Foundation to provide all expense covered scholarships to deserving young leaders from disadvantaged communities in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Through this partnership, the Foundation will provide 120 undergraduate scholarships amounting to $19.5 million to EARTH international students for the next 7 years. Usually, one-third of the scholars will hail from Sub-Saharan Africa and the rest from Latin America and the Caribbean.

    Selection Criteria

    Please note that all recipients of The MasterCard Foundation scholarships meet all of EARTH University’s selection criteria. Per this partnership agreement, the university will seek to award these scholarships to deserving candidates whose financial situations would otherwise have prevented from obtaining a world class tertiary university degree.

    Eligibility

    The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program targets talented but financially disadvantaged secondary and prospective undergraduate students from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean who are committed to giving back to their community in Africa.

    Number of Scholarships: A sum total of 120 scholarships will be awarded to deserving students in the next 7 years

    Recipients will receive their full education at no cost; Full tuition and other expenses. Other benefits will include:
