How to apply for admission abroad in Finland, Ireland and Slovenia universites

    Do you know how to apply for admission abroad? Do you know the requirements needed to study at universities in Finland, Ireland and Slovenia? In this post, we are going to x-ray the various requirements needed to study in Europe’s elite universities.

    Finland

    Undergraduate Studies

    You are eligible to apply to a Finnish university if you have completed high school and are in possession of a valid secondary school leaving certificate. That is if this certificate makes you eligible for undergraduate studies in your own country. Please note you will be required to prove your level of English proficiency and might be required to take on additional qualifying courses.

    Postgraduate studies

    If you are applying for Master’s degree, you will be required to be in possession of a relevant bachelors degree.

    Language requirements

    If you are a non EU student, you will be required to prove your English proficiency in one of these ways:

    • TOEFL: score 550 paper-based test/ 213 computer-based/ 79-80 Internet-based test

    IELTS: a minimum score of 5,5

    Ireland

    Undergraduate

    If you have successfully completed high school and are in possession of a valid high school leaving certificate, you are eligible to apply for admission in Ireland. In most cases, you may be required to prove your English proficiency by submitting the results you received at the TOEFL or IELTS tests. The minimum accepted score for the TOEFL test is usually 570 (paper-based) or 90 (Internet-based), and 6.5 for the IELTS test. Most universities may be required you speak another language to stand a chance of getting in.

    Postgraduate

    You need to be in possession of a relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma.

    Slovenia

    Undergraduate studies

    Apart from submitting your high school leaving certificate, you will be required to prove your proficiency in either English or Slovenian. In most cases, you may be required to take on additional qualifying courses. If your study program or course is taught in English, you will be required to prove your level of command of English by presenting the results you received at English courses. Please, always check with your university whether your English studies are sufficient for you to meet this requirement.

    Postgrauate

    If you are applying for a master’s program at university in Slovenia, you are required to be in possession of a relevant bachelor’s or equivalent degree diploma.
