The University of Auckland is currently accepting scholarship application from students majoring in engineering, to pursue an undergraduate and postgraduate degree program. The scholarship application is opened up till 31st March 2015, and only students from Colombo plan member countries are eligible to apply. Only one scholarship valued at $3,000 shall be provided annually.

Scholarship description
Sponsored by the alumni association of the University of Auckland Faculty of Engineering, the scholarship which was first started in 2011, is aimed at assisting international students from Colombo plan member countries to study at undergraduate and postgraduate level in any engineering program at the University of Auckland.
Eligible countries
Student from the following countries are eligible to apply
- Maldives
- South Korea
- Laos
- Fiji
- Malaysia
- Japan
- Afghanistan
- India
- Bangladesh
- Bhutan
- Iran
Eligibility
- To be considered for the Scholarship, student must have paid or arranged to pay their fees for full time enrollment into any Engineering program at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Awardees are permitted to hold another Scholarship awarded provided that the other scholarship award allows such and the University of Auckland is fully aware
- The University of Auckland holds the right to amend the regulation of the scholarship so long that such amendments does not veer off the main purpose of the scholarship

Criteria for Selection
Communication skills, exemplary leadership ability, community activities, financial need, strength of Academic achievement and a demonstrated desire to contribute positively to the field of Engineering shall be the basis for selection.
